For the discerning traveler, there is only one luxury way to experience Baha Mar, and that is with a stay at the Rosewood Baha Mar. Located a quick skip from Nassau airport, Rosewood Baha Mar is one of three hotels that make up this expansive oceanfront resort and entertainment complex.
Why visit Baha Mar instead of Atlantis? Baha Mar opened an exceptional waterpark in 2021 which has been a major draw for family clients. To compare the two, Atlantis is in need of a refurbish, while the amenities at Baha Bay are fresh and exciting. All three hotels in the Baha Mar complex have access to Baha Bay’s waterpark, and the largest casino in the Caribbean. While the hotels are also all connected, you would never know you are attached to a casino while relaxing at the Rosewood. At the Rosewood the lobby, library and Manor Bar are serene and luxurious, and access to the casino is cleverly tucked away. Neither of the other two properties offer an experience like the Rosewood Baha Mar does.
Property Highlights
- 224 rooms (it is the smallest property at the complex – SLS has 299 and Grand Hyatt has 1800)
- 5 restaurants and bars including; Café Boulud, The Library, Costa, Tingum on the Sand, and Manor Bar
- 2 resort pools exclusive to Rosewood guests and their private beach, Cable Beach
- Sense – a Rosewood Spa is private to hotel guests
- Convenient travel routes from many major U.S. cities on the East Coast and the South, as well as international hubs such as London and Toronto
- One-bedroom suites and higher categories come with butler service.
- A Jack Nicklaus-designed 18-hole, 72 par golf course, 9 tennis courts, watersports all bookable via the Guest Experience team
Pools and Waterparks at Baha Mar
When you stay at the Rosewood Baha Mar, in addition to the Rosewood’s private amenities, you have access to all of the pools in the other resorts, plus Baha Bay’s facilities. Hotel specific amenities include a private beach, two pools, Sense – a Rosewood Spa, and 24-hour fitness center. However, and this is important, guests of the Grand Hyatt and SLS are not allowed to use the pools, private beach or spa at Rosewood, making your stay at Rosewood private and more exclusive.
The Baha Bay waterpark was clean and very manageable during our stay in September (off peak). Kids of all ages were all impressed with the offerings of Baha Bay. We enjoyed a lazy river, surf simulator, wave pool and exhilarating waterslides. There is something for the littles too! Turtle Beach, designed for the littles, with shallow pools and kid-sized slides. When visiting during peak weeks, like Presidents Week, Spring Break in March, and the holidays, it can be quite crowded! Reserving dining and activities in advance is a must. As a result, there are only a limited 2 queens and connecting rooms. We highly recommend booking 6-12 months in advance at any of the resorts in Baha Mar, much like you would plan a trip to Walt Disney World.
Why We Love Rosewood Baha Mar
Rosewood’s Baha Mar offers a rare opportunity to experience the best of both worlds — Baha Bay waterpark with an impressive range of attractions, large casino, 40+ dining outlets and bars, all while having the option to escape what we consider ‘a mix of Disney World and Vegas on the beach’ to your private oasis with impeccable service.
Good to Know
Children ages 5 and under dine complimentary at several of Baha Mar’s resort restaurants. They must order from the kids menu, you can view the list HERE. Our biggest piece of wisdom: book dining and cabana reservations in advance! Our team will be able to help send reminders well ahead of time!
