Meet the Team! Harrison Williams

Home base: Boulder, Colorado

Upon graduating from the University of Alabama, Harrison spent three summers guiding leadership and service-focused trips for teenagers in Maui, Fiji, and Iceland in between working for a residential interior designer in Atlanta, GA. In 2018, she joined the Admissions + Marketing team at Moondance Adventures and oversaw enrollment, family communication, and the marketing team. Travel and excellent hospitality run in her blood, and she is excited to bring these passions to Menzies Luxe Retreats!

Harrison’s deep love for travel began at the age of 16 when she attended a Moondance adventure – participating in a 17-day climbing, backpacking, and white-water rafting trip in Wyoming and Idaho. This sparked a fire to explore the world and seek experiences far outside of her comfort zone. She has found that life’s most meaningful moments happen when we put our phones down and spend time with loved ones or new friends.

Vancouver Island, British Columbia, 2019

Originally from Charlotte, NC, she currently resides in Boulder, CO with her husband, Franklin, and their cat, Wilson. When not helping perfect client trips, she spends her time outdoors hiking, skiing, trail running on Boulder’s vast network of open space trails, going to bluegrass shows, perusing interior design magazines, or visiting her local yarn shop!

What is your favorite travel destination you’ve been to?

Hands down the Maldives. I was SO surprised by how much I loved the Maldives. What isn’t to love about the Four Seasons too?! As a generally very active person, I’d always had the perception that it was a destination for those who liked to just flop on a white sandy beach. But my experience was so much more than that! The Scuba Diving was amazing, the beaches felt like the ultimate deserted island escape, and the pace of life truly is a relaxing, romantic, and secluded vacation. It is well worth the long travel day(s) to get there.

What do you love incorporating most in client’s itineraries?

When people let us surprise them! I love it when clients let us work magic and get creative with parts of their itineraries, like a surprise dinner or stop during a transfer.

What is your dream hotel?

It changes daily! If I had to choose one, The Four Seasons Golden Triangle. Or visiting the Lofoten Islands in Norway.

One item always in your packed bags?

A knitting project or my Kindle.
