Erin joins Menzies Luxe Retreats with 15 years of experience as an Executive Assistant across publishing, finance, advertising, and tech. Along the way, she planned countless team offsites, researching destinations and building travel and event itineraries from the ground up.
Her love of travel began at age 8, when international dance competitions first took her across Ireland, the UK, and Scotland — sparking a lifelong passion for exploring new cultures and connecting with her heritage. She kept dancing through high school, traveling nationwide to compete, and later returned to the UK for a semester in London during college. Her favorite journey to date: a solo trip through Australia in March 2022, taking in Sydney, Melbourne, and the Great Barrier Reef via Cairns.
What is your favorite travel destination you’ve been to?
Kauai, HI — specifically the North Shore around Hanalei Bay. I spent a week just outside Hanalei Town, and it felt like “old Hawaii”: food trucks, wooden storefronts, green mountains all around, no big developments in sight. Highlights were a doors-off helicopter ride and hiking the Kalalau Trail.
What is your bucket list hotel?
Not technically a hotel, but my bucket list is to travel by train, especially on Belmond. My dream itinerary: Scotland: The West and The Highlands, 7 Nights on the Royal Scotsman.
One item always in your packed bags?
Sony noise-cancelling headphones (AirPods never stay in my ears!)
